♫  Parent participation is mandatory in all Music For Young Children classes.   

♫  A piano or touch-sensitive keyboard is required for students to practice on. 

♫  The registration fee and nine post-dated cheques are required to reserve your child’s space in the class time and day you request. ** Cheques must be dated the 1st  of each month (Sept 1st - May 1st) and are payable to Michelle MacArthur.  Thanks! 

♫  In the event of a missed class you will be emailed the homework sheet.  There are no refunds for missed classes. 

♫  There are 33 lessons plus 2 recitals and 1 year end carnival in the teaching year. The studio follows school holidays at Christmas and Spring Break. 

♫  Four months notice is required to withdraw from lessons (new students can not take your space mid-year).  In the event of a move you can transfer to a new MYC® class. 

♫  Thank you for calling me “Teacher Michelle” in class.  

♫  The waiting room is equipped with books, toys and a TV / VCR for siblings who are able to sit on their own for the entire hour without entering the classroom.  Parents are responsible for clean up. 

♫  Parents thanks for not visiting in class.  Take notes on new concepts presented and get as much out of lessons as you can.  Have fun - enthusiasm is contagious. 

♫  Thank you for being on time for class.  We start on time whether you are present or not.  When you are late your child misses out – obviously there are exceptions! 

♫  Practice is essential to success in MYC®.   I provide incentives to motivate and do my best to encourage.   Students will be best prepared and experience maximum success when they practice 5 times per week for the suggested duration.  Parents agree to ensure this practice routine is established and maintained with your assistance.  Parents, you are the key to MYC®!!  

♫  Most importantly, your child is important to me.  I want them to learn music but more importantly I want them to develop a love for music.  I aim to keep in touch with you to monitor your child’s progress and to provide encouragement and support along the way. 

♫  Parking is really important.  In order to be neighbourly, we ask that the first four vehicles park IN the driveway and the remaining two park immediately to the RIGHT and LEFT side of the driveway - directly in front of our house. (refer to picture in studio). Thank you SO much!!
